What We Believe
We Don't Do Religion.
We Do Truth.
Here's what we actually believe — no jargon, no spin. Just where we stand and why it matters.
A lot of churches make their beliefs page feel like a legal document. We're not interested in that. What follows is what we hold to — not because it's tradition, not because it's comfortable, but because we believe it's true. Read it. Push back on it. Ask us about it. That's what we're here for.
What We Believe About
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. Not a suggestion. Not a historical artifact. A living document that still speaks, still cuts, and still changes people. We build everything on it — our teaching, our community, our decisions. If it's not in Scripture, we don't make it a hill to die on. If it is, we don't apologize for it.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 · Hebrews 4:12
What We Believe About
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord. Fully God. Fully man. He wasn't a good teacher who got crucified. He was the Son of God who chose the cross — to pay a debt we couldn't pay and reverse a curse we couldn't break. He rose from the dead. That's not metaphor. That's the whole thing. Without the resurrection, none of this matters. With it, everything changes.
John 1:1–14 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–8
What We Believe About
Salvation
Salvation isn't something you earn. It's something you receive. Grace through faith in Christ alone — not your track record, not your religious resume, not how good you've been lately. God didn't send Jesus because humanity deserved it. He sent Him because humanity needed it. Romans 5:8 says it plainly: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That's the offer. It's still open.
Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 5:8
What We Believe About
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit shows up with power — not just in theory, but in practice. That includes the gifts described in Scripture: healing, prophecy, tongues, and more. We're not weird about it. We're just not willing to tell God what He can and can't do. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in every believer. We think that means something.
Acts 2 · Romans 8:11 · 1 Corinthians 12
What We Believe About
The Church
The local church isn't optional. It's not a building you attend when it's convenient — it's a community you belong to. We believe every follower of Christ is called to be planted somewhere, to grow with people who will sharpen them, challenge them, and show up for them. The Grove exists to be that place. Not perfect. But real, and deeply committed to one another.
Hebrews 10:24–25 · Acts 2:42–47
What We Believe About
Following Jesus
We believe every person who follows Christ is called to grow. Not just attend. Not just believe the right things in private. Actually grow — in character, in love, in the way they lead their family and live their life. Our 2026 theme says it plainly: Rooted and Growing. It isn't about perfection. It's about pursuit. We're all somewhere on the journey. The point is you're moving.
Colossians 2:6–7 · 2 Peter 3:18
"We don't have it all figured out. But we know who does— and we've built our lives around Him."
